Purpose Statement
These 10- to 12-minute mini-lessons spark our desire to engage with the Bible, Catechism, Vatican II, and Catholic Social Teaching. They prepare us for deeper reflection through longer courses and guide us in living our faith with purpose and compassion, especially in pastoral ministry.
Why are the Bible, the Catechism, the Vatican II Document, and the Catholic Social Teaching essential?
Essential because:
It is the foundation of our faith. The Bible is God’s revealed Word—the story of salvation history, the life and teachings of Jesus, and the inspiration for our relationship with God and others.
Essential because:
It explains what the Church believes, celebrates, lives, and prays. It's a comprehensive guide to Catholic doctrine.
Essential because:
They express the Church’s renewed vision for the modern world. Vatican II (1962–1965) addressed how the Church can be faithful to Christ while engaging the world with compassion and dialogue.
Essential because:
It guides how we apply the Gospel to real-world issues like poverty, justice, dignity of life, and care for creation.
